Understanding baseline ambient air quality is an important aspect of the EIA scoping process. Emission sources such as point, flare or open sources can contribute to negative impact of the environment due to the proposed development. Fugitive emissions will be considered into the scoping process as well.

• Ambient air impact assessments and monitoring
• Air pollution dispersion modeling using BREEZE® air dispersion modeling

From the design parameters of the emission sources, the modeler will be able to predict the concentration of the pollutant on various identified receptor sites. Building downwash can be predicted from the modeling studies.
